Elisha B. George enlisted August 30, 1862 as a corporal in Company
I at the age of 19. He was promoted to Sergeant April 1, 1863 and to
Sergeant Major May 21, 1865.
He we wounded in the scalp and leg at Chancellorsville,
Virginia, May 3, 1863.
He mustered out with the non-commissioned staff.
