Walter M. Dallman
Adjutant
Adjutant Walter M. Dallman was mustered into the US service
at Syracuse, NY, September 18, 1862 at the age of 28 under a commission as
Adjutant dated October 4, 1862, rank August 29, 1862.
He was wounded slightly in the throat at Lookout Mountain,
Tennessee on November 24, 1863 and in the thigh and hand slightly at Ringgold,
Georgia on November 27, 1863.
He was discharged on March 15, 1865 to accept a promotion
on the staff of General Fenton.
