Daniel Billings
1st Sergeant, Co A

At the age of 26, Daniel Billings enlisted as a private on August 26, 1862 and afterwards was promoted to 1st Sergeant.

He was detached for duty at Elmira on July 26, 1863 and afterwards rejoined the company at Lookout Valley.

He was wounded in the leg, which was amputated, at Peach Tree Creek, Georgia, on July 20, 1864, and died in the hospital at Chattanooga.
