Friday 27th January 1864

The 2nd Division left Savannah At 9 AM, marched 11 miles andcamped for the night.

Saturday 28th January 1865

Started at 6 and marched about 15 miles and camped at 2 PM two miles from Sisters Ferry. The weather has been very pleasant since we left Savannah.

Monday 30th January 1865

We lay in camp all day. The 14th Corps and one division of the 14th were camped near by.

Tuesday 31st January 1865

We are still in camp. The Pioneers are all at work on the other side of the river building a corduroy road across the swamp. we can't cross the river until the road is done. Went on picket this afternoon.
