Monday 1st February 1864

It cleared off pleasant today. Drilled in the afternoon.

Tuesday 2nd February 1864

Drilled in the forenoon and afternoon. James Gates and I went down to the creek to fish and I shot a duck.

Wednesday 3rd February 1864

Lieutenant Coville and I went down to the creek after ducks and I shot a squirrel.
