Wednesday February 23, 1863

...............all of the sick in our company were sent to the regiment last Saturday excepting those in our tent. I think we would have been sent with the rest except the doctor did not know you had gone, I am sure that had a little influence in having us stay here. We expect to go to the Regiment in 2 or 3 days. I am well now at least I feel so. Will Jones is about well, Natty Jones is much better and Holbrocks feet are a good deal better. We all think Dr. Ormsby of Onondaga was the one that done the business for us.............
